Purchasing

The Purchasing Department is committed to the timely acquisition of quality products and services required to support the Authority’s needs in accordance with MS State Laws.  As the Authority must adhere to the current purchasing laws of the State of Mississippi, the following guidelines may be modified at any time.

Purchasing Process

The Authority has a centralized purchasing department.  The avenue in which the purchasing department process pursues is dependent upon the dollar amount of the project.

Solicitation Process Overview:

  • $0 - $5,000 - By obtaining verbal quotes are requested but not required.
  • $5,000 - $50,000 - Required to obtain at least (2) two written competitive quotes. Fax and email quotes are acceptable.
  • $50,000 and above - Accomplished by the Bid process which includes being advertised two times in the local newspaper.

Hours of Operation are from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Delivery hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Sales calls are welcomed and appointments are not required, but are requested.
